Booking widget

Take bookings on the website you already have

Roamer's booking widget turns your existing website into a booking engine. Guests see your departures, availability and price on your own page, then book and pay their deposit on a booking page run by Roamer. You keep your website and your design.

3% when guests book. No monthly fee.

Illustration. Your button colour is yours to set.

Your website does the selling. The booking process lets it down.

You've done the hard work creating your marketing content, your best selection of images.

But when it comes to booking you ask your client to email you, and the emails go back and forth until you finally send a payment link.

Guests see what's left before firing you an email

Each departure shows its availability and from price.

They book while they're keen

A deposit paid at the moment they decide, not an email thread and a payment link days later.

Nothing gets rebuilt

The widget sits on the trip page you already have. No new site, no template, no listing on someone else's marketplace.

How it gets onto your site

  1. 1

Set up your trip in Roamer

Add your departures, prices, rooms and extras. It takes an afternoon, and we go through it with you on an onboarding call.

  2. 2

    Copy the widget embed code

Once a trip has its departure dates, Roamer gives you a snippet to embed.

  3. 3

    Paste it into your page

  4. 4

    Leave it alone

Availability updates itself as bookings come in.

What your guest sees

  1. 1

    On your trip page

The widget shows the trip title, departure dates, availability and from price, along with your deposit information.

  2. 2

    On the booking page

They give their guest information and choose accommodation and bookable extras where the trip has them. Everything is capacity managed, saving you the headache.

  3. 3

    After they book

The deposit and booking are secured first. Waivers and guest details follow by email.

The booking page is run by Roamer at yourname.roamerapp.co.

What a booking looks like

A guest picks the 6 to 13 June departure on your site.

They pay the £250 deposit when they book. Roamer's fee on this booking is £30.

What changed for one operator

Before

Enquiries came in by email. The operator went back and forth with each guest and finally shared a payment link. It was manual and error prone, and a booking took 3 to 7 days to confirm.

After

Guests book through the form and pay their deposit there and then. Balance reminders go out automatically. On the last trip, a full camp of 6 guests had all paid within 48 hours of the reminder.

It looks like your site, not ours

The widget has a neutral design, so it sits in your page without competing with it. You set the colour of the booking button to match your brand. Each widget carries a small "Powered by Roamer" tag.

Who it doesn't suit

The widget works for most kinds of multi-day trip. It is not a strong fit if you don't have a website yet, or if you are just getting started as an operator.

What it costs

The widget is part of Roamer. You pay 3% of the bookings you take and nothing in a month with no bookings. Stripe's card fee is separate.

Questions operators ask

Do I need a developer?
No. If you can edit a page on your site, you can paste the code in. We're on hand to help.
Will it work with my website builder?
If you are able to edit the HTML source code of the design our widget will work universally.
Does the guest leave my site to book?
Yes. They choose a departure on your site, then complete the booking on a page at yourname.roamerapp.co.
Can I put it on more than one page?
Yes.
Can I approve bookings before they are confirmed?
Yes. Set a trip to manual approval and each booking waits for your say-so.
What happens when a departure fills up?
It shows as sold out, or offers a waiting list if you want one.

See it with your own dates

Book a call and we'll set up one of your trips, so you can see the widget showing your departures before you decide. Anything this page doesn't cover, we go through on the call.
